Getting a descent grub after an arduous activity?
Tells us your favourite places to stop for a bite after a good day's cycling...
N.b - the minutes are for guidance only - we are fairly slow riders. I will continue my research this afternoon but some starting points.
The Pavilion Cafe in Victoria park is very conveniently located on National cycling road 1. Think – thick dark bacon, lovely bread, crushed avocado, home-made beans – and the sausages: stunning, uncut, full of juicy goodness. (20 Min) http://www.the-pavilion-cafe.com/
The Royal Inn on the Park, Victoria Park - nice gastro pub (25 min)
The Gun in Isle of dogs - on the way of you are going to Greenwich -nice garden with a river view. (40 min)

Have an exquisite lunch at Palmers restuarant on 238 Roman Road, E2 0RY - great food, great service, not expensive and very relaxed atmosphere - definetely recommend.
Menu inlcudes: Pork and rabbit rillettes with apricot jelly… lobster and crab ravioli with Parmesan crisp… roasted cod with 'textures' of jerusalem artichoke… these are not dishes you'd expect to find in the East End. But here they are, and on the Roman Road too, which takes bravery and definite conviction on behalf of the proprieter of Palmers.

The Britannia in Victoria park.
20 min ride from my place. http://www.thebritanniapub.co.uk/
Very family friendly with a huge garden, BBQ in the summer, excellent food, great service, what more can you want. Lots of people come with their bikes to the pub and lock them outside.
